INTRODUCTION

Special tubes and profiles are steel elements that have an unconventional geometry and are used in a wide variety of specific applications. Unlike round and square tubes, these profiles have a complex cross-section that can be oval, rectangular, hexagonal or any other shape. The geometry of special tubes and profiles is defined according to the needs of the particular application. These tubes can be manufactured in different diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths, depending on the specific requirements of the project.

We are pioneers in achieving the perfect welding position, which distinguishes us from other manufacturers, providing aesthetics, superior ease of assembly and outstanding behaviour in possible subsequent processes.

SERVICES

At Tumesa we are committed to helping you create the perfect special tubes and profiles for your project, adapting to the needs of each case. To improve the result, we therefore offer special surface finishes to satisfy the needs of different applications. Finishes may include protective coatings, anodising, painting, polishing and others.

OVAL AND SEMI-OVAL TUBES

An oval/semi-oval tube is a type of tube with an oval/semi-oval cross-section, which is manufactured with great accuracy in terms of dimensions, shape and surface finish. These tubes are used in a variety of applications where a non-circular cross-section is required, but with high dimensional accuracy and an attractive appearance.

The geometry of an oval tube is defined by two different radii, one for the major axis and one for the minor axis of the oval cross-section. These radii determine the exact shape and dimensions of the tube. The precision of the geometry is important to ensure that the tube can be used with other components with which it is paired.

These welded steel tubes are used in structures, sports equipment, bicycles, construction, etc., and with special finishes such as protective coatings, anodising, painting and polishing depending on the requirements of the application.

Sectores de aplicación

ELLIPTICAL TUBES

The elliptical tube is a type of tube with an elliptical cross-section that is used in a variety of applications where a higher resistance to deformation is required than that provided by a circular tube of equivalent diameter. The cross-section of the elliptical tube is an ellipse, which means that it has two axes, a major and a minor axis, which are separated by a constant distance. The geometrical accuracy of the elliptical tube is important because it directly affects its ability to carry loads and resist deformation. The major and minor diameter, as well as the wall thickness of the tube, must be carefully controlled to ensure that the tube meets the design specifications.

Elliptical tubing is used in support structures, buildings, bridges and sports equipment because of its resistance to deformation and unique shape. It is also used in machinery, furniture, railings and architectural elements due to its aesthetics and functionality.

Sectores de aplicación

Sports: manufacture of sports equipment, such as bicycle frames and tennis racquets, and fencing.

Construction: manufacture of parts for the construction industry.

Transport: manufacture of industrial machinery and transport equipment, such as car and aircraft bodies.

Beams: supporting structures, such as posts and beams, as well as in the construction of buildings and bridges.

OCTAGONAL TUBES

An octagonal tube is a type of tube with a cross-section in the shape of a regular octagon. The octagonal tube is popular due to its strength and rigidity, which makes it suitable for supporting heavy loads and resisting bending and torsion. In addition, its shape provides an attractive and distinctive appearance. It is widely used in solar farm construction as an integral component of their structure.

ROUND TUBES WITH FLANGES

Flanged round tubes are a type of tube with a circular cross-section, which is used in applications where a secure and strong connection between two tubes or between a tube and another component is required. The cross-section of the tube is circular, and the flanges are located at the ends of the tube and protrude perpendicular to the plane of the tube. The geometrical accuracy of flanged round tubes is important to ensure a secure and strong connection. The outer diameter of the tube and the height and thickness of the flanges must be carefully controlled to ensure a proper connection.

A common field of application is fencing and enclosures.

CARPENTRY PROFILES

Carpentry tubes are steel tubes with a square or rectangular geometry, which are used in the manufacture of metal carpentry structures such as windows, doors, furniture frames and other similar items. These tubes have a hollow cross-section and are manufactured with a thin wall thickness. The geometry of the carpentry tubes is defined according to the needs of each particular application.

Some of the most common applications of these tubes are: Strong and durable shelves and wall brackets. These can be customised to fit any space and can be used to store a wide variety of objects. Industrial and modern style bed frames and headboards. These can be painted or powder coated to match the bedroom decor.

HANDRAIL PROFILES

A handrail tube is a type of tube used in construction to create handrails and guardrails. It is designed to provide safe and comfortable support for people while ascending or descending stairs or walking on elevated surfaces. In addition to their safety function, handrail tubes can also serve as decorative elements, as they are available in different finishes and styles.

FORMWORK PROFILES

A formwork tube is a type of tube used in construction as part of the shuttering process, which is the creation of temporary moulds for pouring concrete or other construction material inside. Formwork tubes are used to create columns, pillars and other structural elements that require a circular or tubular shape. Formwork tubes are used to create solid and stable concrete structures, and once the concrete has hardened, the temporary moulds are removed to leave the finished structure in place.

Construction: manufacture of parts for the construction industry.
