Tumesa has an integrated management system (IMS) with certifications in quality, the environment and occupational safety, based on the concept of continuous improvement, acquisition and development of competencies, compliance with legal requirements and regulations and total integration of all the interested parties in the business.
With regard to quality management, Tumesa is certified according to ISO 9001, a standard that establishes the requirements to be met by a quality management system. This includes the fundamental principles regarding the continuous improvement of our processes, the evaluation of our suppliers to ensure the quality of our products, and the measurement of our customers’ satisfaction in order to continue improving. All of this is accompanied by indicators and objectives that allow us to evaluate our performance.
The quality department has its own laboratory, which allows us to verify the products according to the certification standards available and the CE marking, as well as their production process with machine-process and product audits. In the laboratory, different tests can be carried out on the raw material and finished product, such as tensile and impact tests and hardness analysis.
Tumesa is certified according to ISO 14001, a standard that manages and identifies the environmental risks involved in the carrying out of a business activity in accordance with applicable regulations.
It has a Management Programme, which includes all the environmental objectives required by the legislation, as well as others set by management, at group level, to improve all aspects related to environmental sustainability.
We also have an environmental monitoring plan which includes all the aspects to be controlled within our activity, with their applicable legislation and frequency of control. In addition, we have plans for the minimisation of waste and packaging, as well as the control of energy consumption, applying the best available techniques.
The Tumesa commitment to the Management System is established through the defining of Management Policies and their annual specification through quantifiable objectives in the Management Programme. It also ensures the availability of the necessary resources to implement, maintain and improve the integrated management system and transmits to the organisation the importance of satisfying the requirements of the interested parties.
One of the most important aspects of this management system is related to ISO 45001, the international standard for the management of occupational health and safety systems, where we make an active commitment to the safety and well-being of our employees and collaborators.
Periodical re-evaluations are carried out of the risks arising from the activities carried out in the company, as well as other important aspects such as ergonomics, equality plans and protocols against harassment.
Tumesa has an online platform for the management of documentation related to the coordination of supplier activities, as well as for the collection and treatment of incidents and the recording of PPE.
