21 October: World Energy Saving Day

Today, October 21, we celebrate World Energy Saving Day. At the Hierros Añón Group, to which TUMESA belongs, we are very pleased to have invested 850,000€ over the past two years to implement the change of 8,000 light fixtures to LED technology with presence sensors, across 31 work centers of the Group.

This has resulted in an annual lighting savings of 80%, which equates to 4 million KW, preventing the emission of over 1,215 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.

In addition, investments in solar panels are already planned for 2023, ensuring that the Group’s centers have an even more eco-friendly and sustainable consumption.”
